Android only, installed directly from this page. Five minutes.
Before you start: you need an invitation. Account creation is limited to the addresses on the beta list, and the app will tell you plainly if yours is not one of them.
You are installing an app from outside the Play Store, so it is worth thirty seconds to confirm the file is the one we published. On a computer:
sha256sum gramlet-beta.apk
It should print exactly:
d46c01e87d1c39d313b096f9dc8e554bb562122fc551c045ae5a05f530e834a9
Android blocks apps from outside the Play Store until you allow it, per app. When you open the downloaded file your phone will offer you the setting; the exact wording differs by manufacturer:
No code arrived? Check spam first, then tell us — a code that never arrives is a bug on our side, not something you can fix by retrying. Codes are single-use and short-lived, so always use the newest email.
[FILL: pick one and delete the other]
Uninstall it like any app. That removes the app and its local data from your phone; to have your account and its messages deleted from our server, delete the account in the app's settings, or ask us — see the privacy policy.
